Video projects

Le Moyne College - PA Program Recruitment

HWNY was asked by Le Moyne College to produce a video that promotes the important role Physician Assistants bring to rural and underserved community care. The video highlights Le Moyne’s core values and holistic approach to providing care that all students embrace throughout their education and beyond. The video was produced during COVID-19 lockdown providing a unique approach to interviewing students and program Alumni. The video will be used at recruitment events to encourage high school students living rural and underserved communities to pursue a Physician Assistant career at Le Moyne College.

Saving Rural Communities

A research-driven video production project. This is a video produced by HWNY to raise awareness of the findings from original research conducted through the New York State Association for Rural Health (NYSARH), with our CEO, Richard Merchant, serving as the principle investigator, on the economic impact of rural health funding cuts. The video was used widely and very successfully in New York State to inform and advocate for rural health funding. The combination of original research and video delivery of results has been a slam dunk for influencing policy and building credibility. We have been invited to present this original research and video at this year’s Integrated Medicine for the Underserved Annual Conference, the World Rural Health Conference, and the North American Primary Care Research Group Annual Conference.

Local health professionals will be highlighted as heroes providing care to their communities, gaining access to career development tools, resources, and tips to help advance their skills for internal career advancement. Additionally, the #BeYourLocalHero initiative will allow Healthcare providers across the region to more effectively recruit and retain employees, especially within high-need career fields.
