Our mission is to improve access to quality healthcare in underserved communities by partnering with organizations to address health workforce recruitment, training, and retention needs through research, technology and media, and community-outreach, and partner engagement.

Health WorkForce New York (HWNY) is a nonprofit health workforce development organization that addresses health workforce challenges and needs in rural and urban underserved areas across New York State. 

Our projects aim to give partners the services, tools, and resources necessary to manage and achieve key mission objectives more efficiently, more effectively, and with far less cost.

Our Story

2014

HWNY Formed

HWNY was conceived by the Board of Directors of two New York-based Area Health Education Centers (AHEC) and was incorporated as a nonprofit 501(c)3.
2015

HWapps Launched

To support partners with workforce transformation, HWNY designed, developed, and deployed an expansive, flexible, scalable, intuitive, and user-friendly Learning Management System: HWapps.
2018

Digital Media Employed

The most important milestone in the company’s history.
2019

Integrated Campaigns

In addition to understanding the necessity of employing the use of technology and media services in today’s world, HWNY also understands the power of community-driven outreach and programming.

Today

HWNY now provides a full range of workforce development services, including: 1) research and analysis of trends and best-practices; 2) education and awareness of high impact topics; 3) development of technology-based workforce development tools; 4) design and implementation of outreach and engagement campaigns, and; 5) community engagement and partner connections.

HWNY also provides expert engagement services that blend cutting-edge digital opportunities with effective boots-on-the-ground outreach and programming.

By employing this approach,  HWNY empowers its partners to vastly increase the range, usage, and quality of audience engagement while delivering the greatest impact and ensuring efficiency of cost. . Simply put, HWNY’s integrated workforce development services allow partners to manage and achieve key mission objectives in a strategic and affordable way.
